OpenEMM Support

I'm somewhat confused...Say if I want the redirection service to run on port 80, I set up the firewall rule to forward 80->8080. But at the same time I want admin console to remain on port 8081 and be accessible from the internal network only. How do I do that?

Well, it depends on your OS ...

Please specify your OS and version of OpenEMM. We had a time-problem in versions prior 5.0.1.

If your version is < 5.0.1, please upgrade to 5.0.1.

The .RPM File was tested successfully onCentOS v4.3 ( http://www.centos.org ) and Fedora Core 5 ( http://fedora.redhat.com ).

The .binary File was tested successfully on SuSE 9.3 ( http://www.suse.com ) and OpenSuSE 10.0 ( http://opensuse.org ).

Make sure to use

su - openemm

The '-' is needed to use openemm's .bash_profile, which specifies the required environment variables.

Alternately you can specifiy the variables by hand, as stated above by Chris

Right now, only Sendmail is supported as MTA.

Anyway, there are intentions to port OpenEMM to other MTAs, like Postfix. See the link http://www.openemm.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2
