OpenEMM Support

What about using smart-relay for cases where the internal smtp is not working, and you cant use sendmail on your server?

WHM/cPanel, you know what this is!!

it uses the MTA exim which is supposed to be sendmail compatable. but its not with openemm. OpenEmm does not send mail out . only info in the log semu is connection timed out

what is the smart-relay info for.
Does this work in conjunction with the OpenEMM internal mail service?
is this something else entirely?

I have been trying to get this to work on whm/cpanel for days now with no help

cpanel uses exim for the MTA. It is supposed to be sendmail friendly, as any scripts written to use sendmail will work. so they say.

I ahve everything installed, with version 6.0, no emails are being sent though. and ...

Has anyone been able to test and see it it actually works, using whm/Cpanel EXIM and openemm.?

This server is centos 5.4 final with WHM/Cpanel

I ended up going into the install script, remove the mysql-server rpm check and manually created the tables from the sql

The install keeps telling me to install mysql server.

I am able to get to my MysqlServer with phpMyadmin.

This linux dedicated server is a whm cpanel environment. Why is the install script not finding mysql?

I am able to get into mysql by running
# mysql

also
/etc/init.d/mysql status
MySQL ...

this all seems to be related to my server VPS setup and memory allocation

I have 512 available. and the core.sh allocates 512 for max. Java wants Contiguous memory, so that is prob not available. to me. by modifying the sizes, the max to 320, I am able to get the resin to start and show the default ...

Yeas I found the entry and the place in core.sh to set the min and max.

this fixed the issue, and resin started. I get the page at :8080

when I try and log in I get a new error..

I found the logs located in core/log and saw the errors..

Could not create the Java virtual machine.
Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not reserve enough space for object heap ...

I found the disable sendmail
This did not stop resin from restarting and I still have the
openemm 3583 3581 0 19:54 pts/1 00:00:00 [java] <defunct>
process showing with ps -ef

any ideas??!!

Why is the java <defunct>? how can I, where are the logs or info to find out?

this does not seem to be my issue as I can run the java -version with out problem..

I understand that sendmail is not required. for 6.0 to work. qmail is what is being used in my case.

I am also on a virtual dedicated server.. plesk 8 environment. is this an issue?
