The OpenEMM Install Guide has some specific hints for Ubuntu which might be helpful for a Debian installation as well.
This document is not a real help, didn't see any clue about
Starting sendmails: listener Starting Mail Transport Agent (MTA): sendmail
touch: can not touch `/var/run/sendmail ...

If you do not see a problem maybe you can help us porting the Sendmail depending backend code to Postfix? ;-)
I can try it, but my java knowledge is quite...bad.

- very complexity configuration
- had many significant vulnerabilities over the years
- bloatware, sendmail has a much larger code base than other MTAs such as qmail and Postfix, and a larger RAM footprint too

we are using OpenEMM 6.1 and have the follow problem: the openemm_stdout.log

This file is (again) 3 GB big and must be deleted because of disc-space-problems. I thinked about using resins rollover-feature on this one (+ gzip), but i didnt find the log-configuration in the core.xml, only ...

- yesterday ~90.000 in an hour

Okay, it is a memory hole...

we have upgraded our openemm-server to 4 GB memory, 3 GB for openemm and 1 GB for system.

Today the same problem, test-Mailing wasn't generated because "Cannot allocate memory", only workaround was restarting openemm.

Okay, i looked in the source code and found a workaround by myself:

The timestamp is the current timestamp + 60 sec.

In the source-code from OpenEMM are follow lines ...

an extract from the maildrop_status_tbl Table, other mailings have genstatus = 3.

Webservice didn't send admin, test and world mailings out, don't know why, Webservice returns 1, so it should be okay, but no mails will generated. Also the mailing isn't marked as send in OpenEMM backend. Also there is no entry in mailing_account_tbl for ...

We using OpenEMM two newsletters in a week, each has ~150.000 Recipients.
We use OpenEMM 6.1 and we use Web-services for Mail-Creation and Newsletter-Subscribers.

Multiple times we must restart OpenEMM cause Java-Errors in Statistics-Heatmap, which shows a Null-Pointer exception and in logs came ...

I think this is not possible... if you want to use web-services you must also do the double-opt-in outside of openemm.

As an example:

You have an form with html + php for register, you save the data in your database (not openemm) and send a mail with php to the user (confirm email), if he click ...

You have to download the wsdl to your soap-client location.

Hello oemmnewbie, you could solve the "Double Opt In" with your code, in example PHP.

If the user has double opt in accepted, first you could check with "findSubscriber"-Webservice if the user-email exists in openemm.
